    The equipment operator, under supervision, performs work involving the use of large equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks and other maintenance equipment.

    Responsibilities

    1. Mows fairways with lightweight fairway units and roughs with pull behind rotary units.
    2. Operates all types of equipment; motorized carts, riding mowers, tractors, blowers, mechanical bunker rake, aerifiers.
    3. May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor.
    4. Does a visual check, before operating, on equipment for mechanical issues; refills fuel and checks oil daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to Golf Technician immediately.
    5. May run errands in work vehicle and may perform snow removal duties during winter.
    6. Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Working Conditions: This job requires the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions. Individual must be able to work outside in extremely hot and humid temperatures and extreme cold, snow and ice.

     

    Job Requirements: Individual must have a valid driver’s license, must be willing to work some weekends and holidays, must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, and must be able to lift 50 pounds.

     

    Reporting Relationships: Reports to: Golf maintenance manager and or Supervising fulltime staff.
